Who We Are

Youth at Heart was formed on October 1, 2003, by the merger of Destination Discovery and Helping Hands of Tulsa. Our mission is to shape, support and encourage Tulsas inner city youth. We provide educational and recreational after-school and summer programs for inner city youth ages 6-18 living in Tulsas public housing communities and low-income apartment complexes. In the 11 communities, we manage nine recreation centers. Our educational, cultural and recreational programs provide an effective alternative to idleness, vandalism, school truancy, drug use and gang-related activities.
